Lake Elsinore: Stolen car from Temecula area leads to chase
According to a Sheriffs Report; On April 2, 2015, at approximately 7:00 AM, officers located a stolen vehicle on the parking lot of Walmart (Lake Elsinore) it was occupied by a single male driver. The vehicle had been reported stolen earlier the same day from the Temecula area.
When the Officers attempted to approach the vehicle, the driver of the stolen vehicle immediately exited the parking lot and merged onto the I-15 freeway at Railroad Canyon the report says.
The driver was able to exit the freeway on Main Street and was able to abandon the stolen vehicle on a side road. The driver was last seen running. A perimeter was set-up with the assistance of air support, a police service canine unit also responded the search for the suspect which yielded negative results.
